PREFACE VORWORT

Almost two years have passed since the Estonian

Handbook / Catalogue was published. We are very

pleased to notice that both the users and the critics

have paid a great deal of attention to it. Practically all

of it positive.

Approaching the issue für some years ago, we were

fully conscious of the impossibility of the task to avoid

mistakes and shortcomings. A good part of the material presented was to appear für the first time in print

and the material was collected from many sources.

The authors fully appreciate the reaction from many

readers who have suggested corrections and provided new information. This information will herewith be

published. The corrections will follow the original chapters of the handbook and will be presented in their correct form (hopefully!) in the listings, tables etc. New

information (markings, notes etc.) in the tables and

when presenting illustrations has been marked * ".

Some of the disturbing printing errors can be corrected by using the adhesive text and illustrations as per

instructions on page 79. More complete information

will be provided für the Estonian Booklet and the Estonian Air Mail 1921 - 28. Three new maps will be given

presenting the postal routes and the locations of Post

Offices. A completely new chapter will be added: PAYMENT OF VARIOUS FEES BY USING POSTAGE

STAMPS AS RECEIPTS.

Illustrations, as previously, have been made by Velio

Kallas, Stockholm.

We thank all fellow-philatelists who have been helpful

in many ways to our work.

We do know that all shortcomings have not yet been

eliminated, all gaps have not been filled and much information still is missing. Kindly keep us informed also
